Effective Date: July 6, 2026
Business: Beauzac Home Improvement, a division of Beauzac LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our")
Service Area: Commonwealth of Virginia only
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern any estimate, quote, service, or work performed by Beauzac Home Improvement for a residential or commercial client ("Client," "you"). By requesting a quote, scheduling service, or accepting a proposal from us, you agree to these Terms.
Beauzac Home Improvement provides general handyman services, including but not limited to minor repairs, installations, maintenance, and small-scale improvement work, exclusively within the Commonwealth of Virginia. We do not currently offer services in Washington, D.C. or any other jurisdiction. We do not represent that we hold a Virginia Class A, B, or C contractor license unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing. Some projects, by their size, scope, or dollar value, may legally require a licensed contractor under Virginia law. If a project you request falls into that category, we will inform you and may decline the work, refer you to a licensed contractor, or require that a licensed contractor be engaged before work begins.
Any quote or estimate provided is based on a visual inspection and the information available at the time. Handyman and repair work frequently involves conditions that are not visible until work has started (for example, structural issues, water damage, or problems behind walls, floors, or fixtures). If we discover a condition that changes the scope or cost of the project, we will stop and explain the issue to you before performing any additional work or adjusting the price. We will not charge for work beyond the original quote without your prior approval.
You agree to provide reasonable access to the property at the scheduled time. Delays caused by lack of access, incomplete site preparation, or circumstances outside our control (including weather, supplier delays, or discovery of conditions requiring additional planning) may affect the completion timeline. We will communicate any expected delays as soon as we are aware of them.
An initial deposit of up to 30% of the total quoted price may be required before work begins, in accordance with guidance from the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) regarding reasonable deposit amounts for residential contracting. The deposit amount, along with any progress payments and the final payment, will be specified in your individual quote or invoice. Payment is due according to the terms stated on that document unless otherwise agreed in writing. We reserve the right to pause work if payment terms are not met.
If you cancel a scheduled appointment or project less than 48 hours in advance, a cancellation fee may apply to cover costs already incurred (such as materials ordered or time reserved that could not be reallocated). This fee will be reasonable in relation to the actual cost incurred and will not exceed the amount of your deposit. Any portion of your deposit not applied toward such costs will be refunded. If you are a Virginia consumer and this contract was signed in your home, you may have a right to cancel within 3 business days as described in Section 9.
You are responsible for disclosing any known issues with the property relevant to the work being performed (for example, prior water damage, electrical issues, or previous repair attempts). You are responsible for removing or protecting valuable or fragile items in the work area. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions not disclosed to us in advance.
We stand behind the quality of our work. Any specific warranty on labor or materials will be described in writing on your invoice or proposal. Manufacturer warranties on materials or products (such as appliances, fixtures, or hardware) are provided by the manufacturer, not by Beauzac Home Improvement, and are subject to the manufacturer's own terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beauzac Home Improvement's total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid by the Client for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Virginia law.
Our standard cancellation policy (not a legal requirement, but our business practice) is as follows: cancellations made 48 hours or more before a scheduled appointment are not subject to any fee, and any deposit paid will be fully refunded upon request. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee as described in Section 4, limited to actual costs incurred and capped at the amount of the deposit paid.
Exception — your legal right to cancel: If this contract was negotiated or signed at your home, Virginia law gives you the right to cancel the contract within 3 business days of signing, without penalty, regardless of our standard 48-hour policy above, in accordance with the Virginia Home Solicitation Sales Act. This legal right takes precedence over our standard cancellation policy. You will be provided with a separate written notice of this right at the time of contracting, where applicable.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or from services provided will first be addressed through good-faith direct communication between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, either party may propose mediation with a mutually agreed mediator before pursuing further action. If the dispute remains unresolved, it may be brought before the Small Claims Division of the Virginia General District Court (for claims up to $5,000) or the applicable Virginia General District Court (for claims up to $50,000), in the jurisdiction where the work was performed.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on our website at the time services are requested will govern that engagement.
Questions about these Terms can be directed to steph@beauzac.com.
Beauzac Home Improvement operates as a general handyman service in Virginia only. We are transparent about our current licensing status and will always inform clients if a project requires a licensed contractor under Virginia law.
